Droplet Carryover Prevention Systems

Description, Purpose, and Application:

After low-temperature separators, columns, and absorbers, the installation of an in-line separator and ejector prevents liquid carryover from existing low-temperature gas separators (GS type), column tops, and absorbers.
The presence of liquid in the gas entering gas compressor units (and other equipment) can negatively impact the safety and efficiency of equipment operation.

Application Experience:

▸ 3 units at the Yarudeyskoye field, Yargeo LLC (NOVATEK): IS-1, IS-2, IS-3
▸ 2 units at the Termokarstovoye field, Terneftegaz JSC (NOVATEK)

Technical Specifications:

▸ Droplet liquid capture efficiency – at least 95%

Advantages:

▸ In-line gas separators are also ideal for preliminary gas release before oil treatment units with high gas factors, as an alternative to preliminary gas separation units (PGSU)
▸ Low CAPEX, OPEX = 0
▸ Compact design – requires no foundation and can be installed in hard-to-reach locations.
