Multicyclone Separation of Water, Oil,
and Sand

Process Description:

Hydrocyclone Separator Unit No. 1 is designed for fluid purification (total flow - oil, water, and gas) from mechanical impurities and bringing produced water to the required quality in accordance with ST RK 1662-2007 Water for Oil Reservoir Flooding.
Hydrocyclone Separator Unit No. 2 is designed for final purification of produced water from mechanical impurities and reduction of dissolved oxygen content.

Capacity:

▸ Water: 6,500–11,000 m³/day
▸ Mechanical impurities at the unit inlet:
from 500 to 3,000 m³/h
Target Specifications:

▸ Requirement for mechanical impurities in the fluid (total flow - oil, water, and gas) after exiting the Fluid Injection Unit, particle size not larger than 15 µm;
▸ Prepared water (at the outlet of the Fluid Injection Unit) pH value should be within the range of 4.5 to 8.5;
▸ Dissolved oxygen content in prepared water (at the outlet of the Fluid Injection Unit) should not exceed 0.5 mg/L;
▸ Permissible content after exiting the Fluid Injection Unit: mechanical impurities in water up to 30 mg/L and oil and petroleum products in water up to 30 mg/L, with 90% of particles not larger than 5 µm;

Dependence on Imported Components:

Completely independent
